Home Stand Continues Saturday Versus Cal State Northridge
RIding a seven-game win streak, the Lions host Cal State Northridge in a pair of games Saturday at Smith Field.

LOS ANGELES - The Lions' 17-game home stand continues this weekend as they welcome Cal State Northridge to Smith Field for a doubleheader on Saturday, March 15. First pitch is set for noon.
LMU (13-8) is riding a seven-game win streak, including opening its home slate last week with a perfect 5-0 mark at the LMU Invitational I. The Lions posted three shutouts while outscoring opponents 26-3 in the five games.
Sydney Gouveia (12-1) picked up her third straight West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week honor after turning in yet another dominating performance. In four appearances, the sophomore went 4-0 with a 0.54 ERA and 50 strikeouts. For the season, she holds a 0.60 ERA, 133 strikeouts and is holding opposing batters to a .109 average.
At the plate, Meghan Harman leads the Lions with a .333 average. Her 15 hits this season have included four home runs and two doubles. Freshman Alex Finie has pushed her average over the .300 mark (.302) and now leads the Lions with five doubles.
Cal State Northridge enters Saturday's doubleheader at 15-9 on the season. Four Matadors are batting over .300, led by Kaitlin Toerner (.395) and Taylor Glove (.387). In the pitching circle, Brianna Elder is 11-3 with a 2.10 ERA in 13 starts and 17 total appearances.
