LOS ANGELES - It all comes down to the final weekend of regular season action for the Pacific Coast Softball Conference's top four teams. With four games remaining, BYU, LMU, Utah Valley and Saint Mary's could each still be crowned league champion depending on a variety of scenarios. Saturday's doubleheader begins at 10 a.m. while Sunday's regular season finale is scheduled for noon at Smith Field.

The 2013 LMU squad features seven seniors who will be making their final appearance in uniform at Smith Field Sunday. Olivia Alvarez, Erica Grady, Molly Medeiros, Jennifer Olivares, Skylar Segura, Danielle Smith and Dana Waldusky will all be honored in a brief ceremony prior to Sunday's noon start.

LMU enters its final PCSC series with a 30-22 overall record and 13-7 mark in league play... The 30-win mark has now been achieved for a third consecutive season... In a key series last week at Smith Field, LMU took three of four games from San Diego... Sterling Shuster earned her first career PCSC Player of the Week honor after leading the Lions by going 5-for-12 (.417) with four home runs, eight RBIs and four runs scored... She also had a .533 on-base percentage and a 1.417 slugging percentage in the four games... Shuster now ranks third on the team in batting average (.319), second in hits (45) and RBIs (25) and is tied for first in doubles (13)... Meghan Harman holds a .343 average to lead the battery while Hannah Montalban (.333) and Skylar Segura (.303) are also hitting over the .300 mark... In the pitcher's circle, Sydney Gouveia is 16-4 on the year with a 1.88 ERA... Her 240 strikeouts rank No. 2 in LMU's single-season record book behind Tiffany Pagano's 274 (set in 2008)... Entering the week, Gouveia ranked No. 5 nationally in strikeouts per seven innings (10.8), 17th in total strikeouts (240) and 31st in shutouts (6)...

With two weekends of play left in the 2013 regular-season, this four-game PCSC series puts the second place Lions against the sixth place Toreros... Sitting two games back of leader BYU, every game is a must win for LMU, though the Cougars would also have to drop games down the stretch for LMU to move back in contention for the PCSC title... San Diego has gone an even 4-4 in its last eight PCSC games, splitting two four-game series with CSU Bakersfield and Utah Valley... LMU has won six of its last eight games, including a four-game sweep of Saint Mary's and a 2-2 split with BYU...

The Lions and Wolverines have 11 all-time meetings under their belts with LMU leading the way and holding an 8-3 advantage... Nine of the games have been played at Smith Field where LMU is 6-3... The teams met for a four-game series in 2012, when LMU dropped the first game 3-2, but came back to win three straight by scores of 15-5 (5 inn), 7-2 and 8-3.
