Harman Earns Capital One Academic All-District Honors
Junior third baseman Meghan Harman was named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District 8 Softball Team, becoming the fifth LMU softball player to receive the honor.

LOS ANGELES - Junior third baseman Meghan Harman was named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District 8 Softball Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. She becomee the fifth player in LMU softball history to receive such an honor.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution, and must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at his/her position.
Harman, a Trabuco Canyon, Calif., native, was one of four infielders selected to the 11-member team. In the classroom, she is carrying a 3.68 cumulative GPA while pursuing a health and human sciences degree.
On the field, Harman is leading the Lions with a .343 batting average, 48 hits, eight home runs, 31 RBIs 26 walks and a .593 slugging percentage. She also has nine doubles and one triple on the year. Harman has 11 multi-hit games, including a pair of four-hit outings which ties for the program single-game record, and six multi-RBI performances.
Harman's previous academic honors include being named to the Pacific Coast Softball Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll in both 2012 and 2011.
