Harman, Shuster Garner WCC All-Academic Honors

Each of the six softball institutions placed at least a pair on the All-Academic first team and eleven of the 16 honorees posted a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better, including both Harman and Shuster.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
Harman, a senior who carries a 3.68 cumulative GPA and will graduate on Saturday with a degree in health and human sciences. Career academic honors for Harman have included a three-time selection to the Pacific Coast Softball Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, the 2013 PCSC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a 2013 and 2014 CoSIDA Academic All-District selection.
Harman was the Lions' leader at the plate all season long, pacing the battery with a .366 batting average, 45 hits, 32 runs and 27 RBIs. She also finished the year with a .675 slugging percentage and .470 on base percentage. Eighteen of her 45 hits went for extra bases including eight doubles and a WCC-leading 10 home runs.
Shuster, a junior film and television production major, carries a cumulative 3.79 GPA. The second baseman was one of the best in the field for LMU, committing just three errors for a .974 percentage. At the plate, she was second only to Harman with her .315 average. She finished the season with 35 hits, including two doubles and four home runs, to go along with 14 runs and 26 RBIs.
Shuster was honored as both a freshman and sophomore on the PCSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
