Thirteen Lions Named to PCSC Commissioner's Honor Roll
July 14, 2010
LOS ANGELES - Loyola Marymount had a conference-high 13 players selected to the 2010 Pacific Coast Softball Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, PCSC Commissioner Ellen Moore announced. In total, 113 student-athletes from the conference's 12 member schools were recognized. Santa Clara and Utah Valley each had 12 selections, followed by Portland State and Weber State with 11 and Northern Colorado with 10. To make the honor roll, a student-athlete had to record a 3.0 cumulative GPA for the 2009-10 academic year. This is the third straight season that LMU has topped the list of conference honorees, having also placed 13 student-athletes last year to go along with 11 in 2008. Five Lions - seniors Melissa Dykema, J.J. Hartung, and Darcy Pagnini and juniors Amy Charpentier and Jennifer Nayudu - were honored for the third time in their careers, with senior Christine Foley and sophomores Corie Goodman, Stephanie Hughes, and Brittany Pereda picking up their second straight accolade. Sophomore Kylie Ahlo and freshmen Molly Medeiros, Jennifer Olivares, and Danielle Smith were each lauded for the first time. LMU finished the 2010 season with a 22-26 record and placed fourth in the PCSC Coastal Division with a 9-11 mark.
