The LMU sand volleyball duo of Betsi Metter and Litara Keil advanced out of Pool A to reach the Pairs Championship at the 2014 AVCA Sand Volleyball National Championship being held in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Metter and Keil are seeded ninth overall in the pairs tournament, and will square-off against Pellitteri-Pellitteri of Florida State. The sisters helped guide the Seminoles to a runner-up finish in the team National Championship tournament playing at the #2 spot.
If LMU can advance past the first round, it would play the winner of Larsen-Woolever (PEP) and Gehrke-Boulanger (FIU). Pepperdine's duo is seeded first in the tournament after guiding the Waves to a team National Championship on Saturday.
Metter and Keil will take to the sand at 8 am CT tomorrow morning. To follow the action, please head to: http://avca.org/sand/.
