LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The LMU volleyball sand volleyball team was well-represented at the 2012 USA Volleyball Beach High Performance Championships in July. Sophomore Litara Keil and her partner Jace Pardon won the U21 Championship, defeating LMU teammate Betsi Metter and her partner Eve Ettinger in the final, 21-19, 12-21, 17-15.

Keil and Pardon swept through four matches during the tournament, dropping just two sets, including one in the final, along the way. Metter and Ettinger had no trouble prior to the final, earning their three victories in straight sets to advance to the gold-medal match.

Metter, a veteran of the USA Beach Volleyball program, also competed in the U26 Championship, finishing second in that bracket as well after dropping the final match to Geena Urango and Caitlin Ledoux.
