2010-11...All-MPSF Scholar-Athlete and Academic Team selection... qualified for the consolation finals at the MPSF Championships in the 400 IM earning 15th-place with a season-best time of 4:34.36, fifth-fastest in LMU history... notched lifetime-best times in the 200 IM and 200 butterfly at the conference meet, placing 24th in the 200 IM with a 2:08.83, fifth-fastest in LMU history... voted "Best Student" and "Most Supportive" by LMU teammates... team captain for 2011-12 season...

2009-10...placed ninth at the PCSC championships in the 1650 freestyle, 10th in the 400 IM and 14th in the 500 freestyle contributing 50 points to the team total...voted "Best Student" by teammates earning a 4.0 GPA in spring semester as a biochemistry major...

2008-09...named to the All-Conference team in her freshman season for her fifth place finish in the 1650 freestyle at the Conference Championships... posted a personal best time of 17:38.68 in that race, the second fastest time in LMU program history... also placed 14thin the 400 IM and 17thin the 500 freestyle, contributing 47 points to the team total...

A 2008 graduate of Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Ariz... was a four-year letterwinner in high school... served as team captain in her senior year... helped her team to the NISCA National Championship as a freshman... recipient of the "Coach's Award" after her junior campaign... competed against teammate, Terry Rinder, in high school... earned a scholar athlete award for her work in the classroom... member of the National Honor Society...

Christina Marie Cannata was born on September 3, 1989 in Phoenix, Ariz... parents are Debbie and Rick Cannata... father played tennis at Gonzaga... has a brother, Ricky, and a sister, Jessica... also recruited by University of San Diego, Drury University and Seattle University, but chose LMU because she immediately fell in love with the campus and people... majoring in natural science.
