2010-11... All-MPSF Scholar-Athlete and Academic Team selection... had a breakout year notching three personal-best times at the MPSF Championships, including a 20th-place finish in the 200 breaststroke and a 21st-place finish in the 100 breaststroke... 200 time of 2:24.11 ranks her as the fourth-fastest Lion in program history... 100 time of 1:06.64 ranks her as the fifth-fastest Lion... broke 25 seconds in the 50 freestyle as a lead off swimmer on 200 freestyle relay, clocking a 24.91...

2009-10... had a solid year achieving personal best times in all three conference events and adding depth in the breaststroke events in dual meets throughout the season... became the fourth fastest 200 breaststroker in LMU history and sixth fastest in the 100 breaststroke... voted "Most Supportive" by her fellow freshmen...

Stephanie Mary Hess was born on November 25, 1990 in Walnut Creek, Calif... parents are Loretta and Rick Hess... has one brother, Ricky... also recruited by the University of Redlands, San Diego, UC Davis and Pacific, but chose LMU because of the beautiful campus, the friendliness of the students and faculty, and the swimming program... is a communications major.
