Camille Hopp is in her third season with LMU swimming... will also compete for the women's water polo team...
AT LMU 2010-11... had another strong season after recovering from shoulder surgery in the spring, scoring in all three individual events at the MPSF Conference Championships... placed 13th and notched a personal-best in the 50 freestyle with a 23.70, making her the fifth-fastest sprinter in LMU history... also placed 11th in the 100 breaststroke and 12th in the 200 breaststroke... swam on LMU's sprint freestyle relays at conference, helping the Lions to a third-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay and a fourth-place finish in the 400 free relay... picked up wins for the Lions in the 200 breaststroke during the dual season against Northern Colorado, USD and Fresno State... also played on the women's water polo team, scoring one goal during the 2011 campaign...
2009-10... made an immediate impact on the program becoming the fastest breaststroker in LMU program history by shattering both the 100 and 200 program records while placing second in both races at the PCSC Championship, both in personal best times... earned PCSC All-Conference honors and selected as LMU's Freshman Swimmer of the Year... also won the consolation final (ninth place) in the 50 freestyle with a personal best time scoring 76 individual points in the championship meet... led off the lion's record breaking 200 freestyle relay which lowered the existing PCSC Conference and LMU program record... also swam the breaststroke leg on LMU's 200 and 400 Medley relays which placed second at the conference championships... won the 100 breaststroke against University of Hawaii and CSUN...
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2009 graduate of Mission Viejo High School in Mission Viejo, Calif... a four-year All-American in high school... served as team captain in her final season... posted best times of 23.80 in the 50 freestyle and 1:04.82 in the 100 breaststroke... appears in the top-10 of four events at Mission Viejo High School... helped her team to the South Coast League Championship in all four years, while guiding the 2006, 2007 and 2008 teams to the CIF Championship... started all four years in water polo, serving as captain in her final two... named All-League as a sophomore and junior, and All-CIF and All-American as a sophomore... garnered League MVP in 2007...

Camille Rose Hopp was born on May 14, 1991 in Laguna Hills, Calif... parents are Teresa and Brian Hopp... has one brother, Brian... also recruited by UCLA, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, Princeton, Villanova, Fordham, NY and Richmond, but chose LMU because of the strong business curriculum and the quality aquatics sports programs... is an accounting major.
