2013-14...added depth to the Lions in the middle-distance freestyle events, posting a season-best 1:56.07 in the 200 freestyle and 5:13.24 in the 500 freestyle at the 2014 MPSF Championship...2014 Academic All-Conference selection...

2012-13... continued progression in mid-distance freestyle events following shoulder surgery at the end of her freshman year with season-best times at the MPSF Championships in the 200 and 500 freestyle events... MPSF Academic All-Conference selection... earned "Best Student" award for the sophomore class and voted "Miss Congeniality" by her teammates...

2011-12... swam a season best 1:57.07 in the 200 freestyle... 500 freestyle time of 5:09.48 moved into LMU's All-Time Top-10, placing ninth... swam a season best 2:14.80 in the 200 butterfly...

A 2011 graduate of Rock Canyon High School in Highlands Ranch, Colo... a four-year varsity letterwinner under coach Ruthie Milberg... finalist at State Championships all four years... placed second in the state in the 200 freestyle and third in the 500 freestyle in 2010... team captain as a senior... honorable mention All-Colorado High School Team selection in 2010... USA Swimming Scholastic All-American... guided her team to the 2009 Colorado 4A State Championship... also competed in cross country...

Madison Marie Vanderpoel was born on August 9, 1993 in Denver, Colo... parents are Nicole and William Vanderpoel... has one brother, William, and a sister, Victoria... chose LMU because she felt at home with Head Coach Bonnie Adair and the team, and she knew that LMU would provide her the opportunity to improve and thrive academically and athletically... a health and human science major.
