2011-12... notched career bests in the 50 (24.31) and 200 (1:55.80) freestyle, 100 (1:06.48) and 200 (2:25.72) breaststroke... swam a season best 24.31 in the 50 freestyle and 2:09.92 in the 200 IM...

2010-11... had a breakout year in swimming, notching personal-best times in six different events, including the 50 (24.63), 100 (53.44), and 200 freestyle (1:57.6r), the 100 (1:07.05) and 200 breaststroke (2:29.55), and the 200 IM (2:14.06)... 100 breaststroke time of 1:07.05 moved into LMU's All-Time Top-10, placing sixth... also a member of LMU's women's water polo team during the 2011 campaign...

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2010 graduate of Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Calif... a four-year varsity letterwinner under coach Lynn Vidali-Gautshi... served as team captain in each of her final two seasons... garnered All-League and All-City recognition in all four seasons... a CCS finalist, she was a Blosson Valley League five-time individual champion... also competed in water polo in high school... was a varsity starter in all four seasons of high school water polo... served as team captain as a junior and senior... earned All-Area recognition as a junior and senior, and All-City accolades in all four seasons... scored 104 goals as senior... named Blosson Valley Junior of the Year in 2009... a first-team All-CCS selection, she was named a 2010 Academic All-American...

Kathryn Lisa Rick was born on September 11, 1992 in San Jose, Calif... parents are Lisa and John Rick... has one brother, Steven, who swims at UC San Diego... was recruited by Hawaii and San Jose State, but chose LMU because she wanted to compete in both water polo and swimming, and she enjoys the Southern California weather... an athletic training major.
