Lions Drop Duals to Pepperdine and San Diego.

Malibu, Calif. - The Loyola Marymount swim team dropped a pair of duals to Pepperdine and San Diego, Saturday afternoon in the Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool on the campus of Pepperdine University. The Lions fell to San Diego 196-64 and 211-82 to the Waves, dropping to 0-9 on the season.

Junior Krista Zabor won the 200-yard individual medley versus Pepperdine in 2:12.77, while Melissa Bommarito won the 50-yard freestyle against the Waves in 25.27. Breanne Melconian provided the Lions' only other victory against Pepperdine, claiming the 500-yard freestyle in 5:24.46. LMU failed to win any of the 14 events in its dual with the Toreros.

The Lions will next be in action when they host San Diego State on Friday, Jan. 24 at the Burns Aquatics Complex. It will be LMU's final regular season dual before the PCSC Championships Feb. 19-22.
