Competing in the final dual meet of the year, LMU swimming dropped a 189-73 decision at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday afternoon.
The competition started well for LMU, as the Lions won the opening 200 medley relay with a time of 1:50.40 to narrowly out-touch CMS' top relay. Taylor Anderson, Marley Abbott, Abby Chopp and Isabel Willis teamed for the victory for LMU.
Isabel Willis once again placed LMU at the top of the list, this time earning the victory in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:56.16.
While LMU would not earn another first-place finish, Abbott managed to sneak her way into a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle (24.53). Willis followed with a runner-up finish of her own in the 100 freestyle, stopping the clock at 53.65 to finish just behind Natalia Orbach-Mandel at 53.22.
The Lions will now prepare for the 2018 PCSC Championships, beginning with the PCSC Time Trials on February 3 in Malibu, Calif.
