PCSC Championships Underway
LMU posted a pair of top-four finishes in relays on day one of the Championships.
Swimming on day one of the 2017 PCSC Championships being held at East LA College on Wednesday, LMU swimming posted a pair of top-four finishes in relay events.
The Lions turned in the third-best time in the 800 freestyle relay, as Hannah Calton, Taylor Anderson, Stacy Maier and Lanna Kozlowski combined for a time of 7:35.42. LMU's 200 medley relay, composed of Anderson, Marley Abbott, Calton and Alyce-Faye Eichelberger, also showed well, claiming fourth in 1:46.08.
Individually, Kozlowski managed a top-15 finish in the lone individual event of the day -- the 1000 freestyle. The freshman from Davis, Calif. took 14th in 10:31.07. That time topped her previous best of 10:35.92 and places her fifth in LMU's record book. Keara Reilly (10:42.80, 17th) and Maddie Lipkowitz (personal-best 10:49.39, 21st) also competed in the event.
The four-day meet continues on Thursday with the 500 freestyle, 200 IM, 50 freestyle and 200 freestyle relay being contested. Preliminary swims begin at 9:30 a.m. with the evening finals to follow beginning at 4:30 p.m.
