Senior Camille Hopp set a new LMU program record in the 200 breaststroke on Saturday, posting a time of 2:16.38 in the preliminary before eventually placing seventh in the Championship Final. The Lions finished competition at the 2013 MPSF Championships in eighth place.

Mary Kate Short finished 11th in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:23.08, while Sophie Allen won the Bonus Final in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:03.95. Noelani Vargas also swam in that event, finishing 24th in 2:08.65. Kristen Clarno won the Bonus Final in the 100 freestyle with a mark of 51.64, followed by Kjirsten Magnuson in 19th with a time of 52.37. After Hopp finished seventh in the 200 breaststroke, Rachel Dekar finished 12th in the Consolation Final with a time of 2:18.08. Stephanie Hess and Hallie Hengels also swam in the Bonus Final of the event, with Hess placing 18th with a personal-best time of 2:22.32 in the preliminary and 2:22.43 in the final. Her preliminary time now ranks fourth in LMU history.

Angelina Prat also reached an evening final, winning the Consolation Final of the 200 butterfly with a personal-best time of 2:03.07. Stephanie Horwitz and Elizabeth Murray competed in the Bonus Final of the event, placing 21st (2:08.94) and 22nd (2:11.73), respectively. Horwitz' time was good enough to place ninth in the LMU record book.

 

 

In the last LMU event of the Championships, LMU finished seventh in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:29.16.
