The LMU women’s swimming team hosted UC Davis and San Diego in a double dual meet on Saturday, and the Lions dropped a pair of decisions. LMU fell 177.5-84.5 to San Diego, and 200-60 against UCD. In the other head-to-head scoring, UC Davis edged San Diego, 137-123.
The Lions claimed a second and fourth-place finish in the day’s final event – the 400 freestyle relay. Alyce-Faye Eichelberger, Caitlin Ryan, Farah Stack and Isabel Willis combined for a time of 3:39.15 to take second, while Tori Yee, Anna Gasiorowski, Audrey Hixon and Natalie Morlock took fourth in 3:47.21.
Individually, Eichelberger posted a third-place finish in the 100 backstroke, registering a time of 59.57. Abby Chopp also took a third-place finish, earning that spot by way of a 1:08.57 in the 100 breaststroke.
Other top-four finishes for LMU included Lanna Kozlowski’s 10:49.55 in the 1000 freestyle to take fourth, and Taylor Anderson’s fourth-place finish in the 200 backstroke at 2:11.48.
LMU will now prepare for the A3 Invitational beginning on November 16.
