Sophomore Alyce-Faye Eichelberger highlighted LMU's efforts from day two of the A3 Performance Invitational being hosted by UC San Diego and San Diego State on Friday. Eichelberger qualified for the A Final in the 100 backstroke, eventually taking seventh overall in 57.63. The mark is a new personal-best for Eichelberger, and is the sixth-fastest time in LMU history.
Five other Lions reached the finals in the 100 backstroke, including Taylor Anderson who took 11th overall in 59.24 while swimming in the B Final. She had previously posted a 58.44 in the preliminary rounds. LMU sent three swimmers to the C Final, as Gabby Carufel won the race in 59.87 to claim 17th overall in the event. Caitlin Ryan, who swam a 1:00.19 in the prelims, took 19th overall in 1:00.33, while Audrey Hixon touched the wall in 1:00.66 to earn 21st. Lastly, Tori Yee competed in the D Final, taking 26th in 1:00.53.
Isabel Willis found herself with a Top-15 finish in the 200 freestyle after turning in a time of 1:55.40 in the B Final of the race. Willis had qualified for the second final with a time of 1:54.65 in the prelims.
Six Lions competed in C Finals on Friday, including Lanna Kozlowski (400 IM | 21st | 4:39.32), Abby Chopp (100 butterfly |17th | 58.21), Farah Stack (200 freestyle | 19th | 1:55.62), Natalie Morlock (200 freestyle | 24th | 1:58.14), Marley Abbott (100 breaststroke | 20th | 1:08.99), and Mary Schell (100 breaststroke | 22nd | 1:09.87). Morlock qualified for the C Final in the 200 freestyle by way of a time of 1:56.13 in the preliminary round.
Olivia Nielsen won the 100 butterfly D Final, taking 25th overall in 58.81. Also competing in the race, Christine Chan earned a 30th overall finish with a mark of 1:00.68 after swimming a 1:00.42 in the prelims.
Freshman Taylor Pajunen also reached a D Final, claiming 27th overall in the 400 IM with a time of 4:52.54.
On the relay front, LMU took sixth in the 200 medley relay and seventh in the 800 freestyle relay. Eichelberger, Chopp, Nielsen and Anderson combined for a 1:46.02 in the 200 medley, while Anderson, Willis, Morlock and Kozlowski teamed to put up a time of 7:48.93 in the 800 freestyle.

The closest lot to the Aztec Aquaplex is P7, a parking garage located at the corner of 55th and Montezuma. The cost of parking is $2/hour, and parking can be paid for at any of the yellow machines in the parking structure. The Aztec Aquaplex itself is adjacent to Tony Gwynn Stadium, which can be seen from the parking garage.
Each day of the meet will begin with preliminaries at 9 a.m. Finals start at 4:30 p.m. each night. On Saturday, slower heats of the 1650 freestyle are slated to begin at approximately 11:15 a.m., with the fastest women's and men's heat included in the evening portion after 4:30 p.m. At the facility, please listen to PA announcements for confirmed start times and changes. The A3 Performance Invitational is a swimming-only event with no diving.
