Junior Isabel Willis took home Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Division I Athlete of the Week honor, it was announced by the conference office on Thursday. Willis, who previously earned the honor on October 6, runs LMU's total to four selections this year.
Willis, a junior English major, came off the winter break to swim two very competitive races in a double-dual meet vs. UCSD and CSUB. The native of San Jose, Calif. touched the wall with a 1:56.48 in the 200 freestyle, good for sixth place overall, and a 53.56 in the 100 placing fourth in a strong field. She also anchored the 200 medley relay with a 24.67 freestyle leg and turned in a 54.24 on LMU's "A" 400 freestyle relay.
Following this weekend, LMU will travel to Claremont, Calif. for the final dual meet of the season at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, which will take place on January 27th at noon.
