The LMU swim team will travel to Claremont, Calif. for their final dual meet of the season against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Competition between the Lions and Athenas will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The two teams will compete against one another for the first time this season. The two teams met last year prior to the PCSC Championships, with the Lions falling to Claremont by a score of 163-98. This weekend at the Axelrood Pool, the Lions are hoping to come out victorious, after coming off of a two-meet win during the Lion's Cup.
The Athenas have won their past four meets against Whitman, Cal Lutheran, Occidental, and Caltech, three of which were at home. Claremont will have one more dual meet before heading into their championship meet, while this will be the final competition for the Lions before PCSC Championships begin on February 14th.
The Championship meet will be a four-day long event, taking place at La Mirada Splash. There, the Lions will compete against Pepperdine, Cal State East Bay, UC San Diego, Azusa Pacific, and more.
