Junior Isabel Willis took home the first Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Division I Athlete of the Week honor on Friday, it was announced by the conference office. Willis and the Lions posted a victory at Dixie State last week, and will now participate at the PCSC Pentathlon on Saturday.
After sitting out the entire 2016-17 season following surgery for a torn labrum in her hip, Willis made up for lost time last Saturday in a dual meet against Dixie St in St. George, Utah where she won the 200 freestyle in 1:59.15 and placed a close second in the 100 freestyle with a 55.58.
The meet between the two PCSC teams came down to the final 400 freestyle relay, which was won by LMU with Isabel anchoring LMU's "A" team with a 54.78. LMU won the meet 138-123.

Swimmers must select one of the three Pentathlon Series offered below and swim all five events to be eligible for a ‘Top 10’ award. Top 10 placing is determined by adding the times from all five races in the series, with the lowest score winning. Freestyle events are ‘weighted’ to account for the difference in the distances. Places will be awarded via the Hy-Tek points system. Divers Points will be totaled with the 1 & 3 meter total points combined with top 3 divers receiving awards.
