A3 Performance Invitational Next for LMU

LMU swimming will participate at the 2017 A3 Performance Invitational this weekend. The three-day event is co-hosted by UC San Diego and San Diego State, and will be held for the first time at the Aztec Aquaplex on the campus of San Diego State University.

In addition to the Lions, swimmers from Azusa Pacific, Fresno Pacific, Cal State East Bay, Pepperdine, San Diego State, UC San Diego and San Diego will be in attendance.

The street address for the Aztec Aquaplex is 5375 Remington Road, San Diego, CA 92182-4010. The Aquaplex is located next to Tony Gwynn Stadium, adjacent to the tennis and softball facilities on the west side of campus.

FloSports will be live-streaming the meet for the first time. The service does require a subscription, but follow all the action from San Diego on FloSports. The A3 Performance Invitational also features live results via MeetMobile.

LMU last competed on October 29, falling to San Diego and UC Davis in a double dual meet.

The closest lot to the Aztec Aquaplex is P7, a parking garage located at the corner of 55th and Montezuma. The cost of parking is $2/hour, and parking can be paid for at any of the yellow machines in the parking structure. The Aztec Aquaplex itself is adjacent to Tony Gwynn Stadium, which can be seen from the parking garage.

Each day of the meet will begin with preliminaries at 9 a.m. Finals start at 4:30 p.m. each night. On Saturday, slower heats of the 1650 freestyle are slated to begin at approximately 11:15 a.m., with the fastest women's and men's heat included in the evening portion after 4:30 p.m. At the facility, please listen to PA announcements for confirmed start times and changes. The A3 Performance Invitational is a swimming-only event with no diving.
