Briefly... Robyn Baker is in her fourth and final season of tennis at LMU... has been ranked as high as No. 1 in singles in Southern California... entered the 2006-07 season with a preseason ranking of No. 29 with teammate Pavla Mesterova in doubles play...

At LMU... 2005-06... finished the 2006 season a second-team All-WCC selection in singles and a first-team selection with Mesterova in doubles... went 16-12 in singles play, going 8-10 in dual matches... in facing some of the nation's best in doubles play, she went 8-10 with Mesterova and 12-11 overall as a doubles player...biggest win of season came in doubles play with an 8-4 win over the 12th-ranked doubles team in the nation, Dieskova/Olivos from Fresno State... also earned double victories over No. 36 and No. 42... helped the Lions to the WCC championship with a 7-6 (2), 6-1 win at No. 2 singles against ranked-San Diego... 2004-05... went 9-5 in dual singles action... posted a straight set singles victory over 67th-ranked Long Beach State's Nicoletta Ratiu... defeated No. 75 UC Irvine's Jayme Hu in straight sets... recorded 6-2, 6-2 win over 58th-ranked Colorado's Gleisy Torres... 2003-04...an All-WCC honorable mention selection in singles and in doubles with teammate and sister Jennifer Baker... posted a 10-4 record in doubles... won at No. 2 singles over No. 68 San Diego State and No. 64 Long Beach State... teamed with sister Jennifer Baker to defeat No. 48 Sacramento State at No. 3...

High School... Graduated from Palm Desert High School and attended Weil Tennis Academy in Ojai, Calif., for half a year... was a four-year letterwinner for coaches Saul Lopez and Randy Blalock... was named team captain her final three seasons... she was named to the All-Desert Valley League team all four seasons... was also an All-CIF selection as a sophomore and senior... was named the most inspirational player as a freshman... won Desert Valley League Individuals as a freshman in doubles play and claimed top place in singles as a sophomore and senior... a three-time team MVP... finished ranked 10th in the nation at 16 years old.... won the Fiesta Bowl at age 14 and took third at age 16... qualified for the quarterfinals of the Hardcourt Super Nationals for 16 and under, taking out the nation's top-ranked player...

Personal... Robyn Alexandra Baker was born in Santa Monica, Calif., and is the daughter of Sandy Baker... has one brother and one sister... sister was on the LMU tennis team and her brother played soccer at San Diego... a business administration major.
