Incoming Tennis Freshman Kylie Waschuk Named CTV Sport Star of Week

Kylie Waschuk, who will join the LMU women's tennis team this fall, was selected as the CTV Sport Star of the Week.

Entered LMU ranked in the top-12 amongst Canadian junior girls for the 2014 graduating class, and earned a #37 Canadian junior rank on January 3, 2014...advanced to the round of 16 at both 2013 U18 Canadian Nationals, eventually taking losses to the top-seeded player in both championships...entered college considered the top-ranked Manitoba/Saskatchewan junior girl after winning the singles event at the 2013 Manitoba Open, while earning a doubles championship in 2010 and 2013...finished 5-2 and earned a silver medal serving as Team Manitoba's top singles player at the 2013 Canada Summer Games, which feature the top Canadian juniors players...participated in 11 Canadian Junior National Championships from 2008-13, including twice earning a seed in the tournament...
