LMU?s women's tennis team defeated by national powerhouse

Newport Beach, CA - Loyola Marymount University's (LMU) 66th-ranked women's tennis team ended long week of action with 0-7 defeat at the swing of the 33rd-ranked Mississippi team. Ole Miss overpowered the Lions, giving up not a single set.
The Lions' doubles teams were unable to hold off the Rebels. Andrea Lord and Angelina Zdorovytska took on Alesya Ignatieva and Audra Adams, and fell 6-8 in the No. 1 spot match. Penka Fileva and Edit Pakay faced Mira Radu and Karen Harbof in the No. 2 match-up, and were defeated 5-8. Georgina Dinham and Julie Hladik rounded out the doubles matches for the Lions, and were defeated 8-9 by Mississippi?s Florencia Basile and Sabrina Peppl.
Mississippi took all of the singles matches in straight sets as well.
LMU?s women's tennis team will return to action on Wednesday when they host CSUN on LMU's Tennis Courts.
