Stanford Downs Lions In Rain Soaked Match
Top-ranked Cardinal earn 6-0 win over 63rd-ranked Lions in women's tennis on Friday in the rain.

Los Angeles, CA (Feb. 20) - The 63rd-ranked Loyola Marymount University women's tennis team dropped a 6-0 decision to top-ranked Stanford at Manhattan Country Club on Friday afternoon. The Cardinal swept the singles play and the doubles matches were cancelled due to the rain.
Continuing their tough schedule, the match against the Cardinal was delayed two hours due to the rain. After the delay, the teams started with the singles, were the Cardinal lived up to their ranking, sweeping the six singles matches.
The last match to finish was at number three singles with Kimi Kaloi holding a 3-0 lead in the second set. However, Erin Burdette won the next six to earn a 6-1, 6-3 win. The teams also played a seventh singles that did not count in the scoring.
The Lions will play UC Irvine in El Segundo on Feb. 25 at 1:30 p.m.
