Final Stats

Fullerton, Calif - After a heartbreaking loss last week against San Francisco, Loyola Marymount Women's Tennis came back with a vengeance as they dominated Cal State Fullerton 7-0. The Lions won all doubles matches as well as every singles match in straight sets.

In doubles Jasmin Heckel, Elisaveta Pironkova, Tina Razloznik, and Shauna Morgan won their second straight doubles matches in the No. 2 and 3 positions. Heckel and Pironkova almost shut out the Titans' Karina Akhmedova and Leslie Bullock taking the win 8-1 in the No. 2 spot while Razloznik and Morgan took home the victory against Brandy Andrews and Jerusha Cruz 8-5 in the No. 3 position. Bliss Nixon and Jane Pringle captured their first doubles win in the No. 1 spot. Nixon and Pringle defeated CSF's Cheyenne Inglis and Shelly Injejikian 8-6.

Lions also claimed all singles victories against Fullerton. In the No. 2 position Jasmin Heckel shut out CSF's Injejikian 6-0, 6-0 for her second straight victory of the season. After winning LMU's other singles match last week, Jane Pringle took home a win in the No. 3 spot. Pringle defeated Akhmedova in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 for her fourth win of the season.

After extra set losses last week against San Francisco, Tina Razloznik, Estelle LaPorte and Elisaveta Pironkova took home straight set victories. Razloznik defeated Bullock in the No. 1 spot 6-2, 6-2. In the No 4 position Pironkova beat Cruz 6-1 6-3 while LaPorte pulled off the closest victory in the match, 7-6, 6-4, over Cal State Fullerton's Cheyenne Inglis 7-6, 6-4. Shauna Morgan also took the No. 5 position with a victory over Brandy Andrews, 6-2, 6-2.

"It was a good outing for us. We were working for every position to play well and we did." Head Coach Jamie Sanchez said."It's a good match to prepare us for San Diego State."

Loyola Marymount Women's Tennis returns home this Saturday to take on the No. 62 Aztecs. Match time is 1:00 p.m. at LMU Tennis Center.
