Los Angeles, Calif. - Loyola Marymount women's tennis fell to 32nd-ranked Sacramento State (18-4, 4-0) 6-1 at the LMU Tennis Center Sunday. The Lions (8-13, 3-2) honored their two seniors Erin Sanchez and Carla Arguelles, who played their final home matches of their career.
Sophomore Erin Ivey was once again the highlight for LMU, winning her seventh straight match-up at No. 5 singles. The win was also her 13th in her last 14 matches. Ivey also won her doubles match with partner Serena Fermin, as the two won at hard-fought 9-7 battle at the No. 2 spot.
Sunday marked the 13th time this season that the Lions took on a nationally-ranked program in preparation for April 21-24's West Coast Conference Championships.
The Lions will have one final road contest at Cal State Northridge Thursday before the championships.
