The Lions concluded their fall season over the weekend with competition at the SDSU Fall Classic and the Jack Kramer Invitational.

The highlight of the weekend for LMU came at the SDSU tournament, in which freshman Julia Norlin and sophomore Ellie Grossman paired up to win the main draw doubles bracket thanks to three hard-fought wins. The Lion duo started off the tournament with a close 8-7 win over a team from Cal State Northridge. Then, they took down a pair from San Diego St. 8-6 to win their semifinal match. In the finals, LMU then beat a team from the University of Washington 8-5 to take the title.

For the singles division, both Grossman and Norlin went 1-2 playing individually at the SDSU Fall Classic.

At the Jack Kramer Invitational in Rolling Hills, California, LMU had three girls represent in the singles draw. Senior Miya Jin concluded her successful fall campaign with a weekend full of good matches. She won a long, three-set match over an opponent from TCU, but fell in her other two matches in tight contests. Freshman Jessica Perez went 1-1 on the weekend with a win against an opponent from UC Santa Barbara. Sophomore Kristine Kouyoumjian also went 1-1 with her win coming over a player from Mississippi St.

The Lions will take the winter off from competition before getting back at it on January 25 when they host Concordia to start their spring season.
