Seton Hall, UCSB Next for LMU

D1 Women's ITA Rankings

LMU women's tennis has a pair of matches on tap this week, beginning with a home contest against Seton Hall on Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Lions, currently holding a 6-2 overall record, will then travel to UCSB on Sunday.

With the new ITA rankings released on Tuesday, LMU will also feature a pair of ranked doubles teams and one ranked singles player. Freshmen Veronica Miroshnichenko and Eva Marie Voracek carry a #33 ranking in doubles, while Anna Romeka and Siobhan Anderson entered the rankings for the first time at #72.

Miroshnichenko/Voracek are 13-4 overall, including 6-2 in dual matches, and have won five straight decisions. Romeka/Anderson are currently 11-4 overall, including 3-1 in dual matches.

On the singles side, Miroshnichenko carries a #30 ranking in singles play. The native of Moscow, Russia has posted a 14-4 overall record, including a perfect 7-0 mark in dual matches while playing at the top of the order.

Seton Hall is currently 3-4 on the year, and is coming off a victory over Youngstown State on Monday.

UCSB is currently 6-8 this year, and is coming off a loss to Arizona State on Saturday. The Gauchos will post Penn on Saturday before welcoming the Lions. UCSB sports the #39 doubles pair according to ITA, as Natalie da Silveira/Palina Dubavets carry that distinction.
