Lions Set to Open WCC Play
The LMU women's tennis team will travel to Santa Clara and San Francisco this weekend.

Los Angeles, Calif. -- The LMU women's tennis team will travel to Northern California this weekend to open conference play against No. 59 Santa Clara and the University of San Francisco. The Lions are currently 6-7 overall entering the start to WCC play.
The Lions' wrapped up their non-conference slate last weekend with a 4-3 setback to Florida International at home. The remaining nine matches of the 2014 regular season will all come against conference foes. In 2013 WCC play, LMU fell 5-2 to both Santa Clara and San Francisco. This year, Santa Clara is 6-4 overall and 1-0 in the WCC after defeating USF 4-3 early in the season. USF is currently 10-4 overall but 0-2 in WCC play with 3-4 losses to Santa Clara as well as BYU. The Lions' will be looking to start their conference schedule on the right foot with a pair of road wins this weekend.
