Radio Tennis to Cover Upcoming Home Matches

March 24, 2014

Los Angeles, Calif. -- The LMU women's tennis team has announced that their upcoming home matches will be broadcasted through RadioTennis.com. The first match is Friday at 1:30p.m. when the Lions will host No. 71 BYU. The second match is Saturday at 1:30p.m. when LMU faces the University of San Diego.

Last year, Ken Thomas and Radio Tennis came to LMU for the PCH Cup Rivalry match with Pepperdine. The Waves edged out the Lions 5-2 in a very exciting match in front of the broadcasting tent. Last year's match featured interviews with both coaches, some of the players, and LMU administrators and fans. The Radio Tennis broadcast also featured a bit of play-by-play commentary for the top court while keeping listeners up to date with the scores on all courts. This year's broadcasted matches will feature a similar format.

The Lions are coming off a tough road swing that has left the team at 0-2 to start West Coast Conference play. LMU has played six of their previous seven matches on the road and will look to get back on track at home this weekend. First, they will have to handle the No. 71 BYU Cougars, who are undefeated in conference play and are riding a three-match winning streak, including two wins over ranked opponents. They are expected to move up higher in the rankings that will be released on Tuesday. On Saturday, LMU will face USD, who is 5-8 overall and 1-2 in conference. the Toreros face Santa Clara this week before coming to LMU over the weekend. Both weekend matches promise to be exciting, so tune in to RadioTennis.com for the live action if you can't make it out to the LMU Tennis Center.
