Los Angeles, CA - The West Coast Conference named LMU's Andrea Lord as the women's tennis Player of the Month for her record of 4-2 during March.

Lord has been playing at No. 2 in singles for the Lions, posting a perfect 5-0 record over WCC competition including the Lions' most recent 6-1 victory over Portland (April 6). A senior from San Antonio, TX, Lord has shown versatility in playing at No. 1 and No. 2 in singles competition. She began this season with the No. 1 singles title at the Cal State Los Angeles tournament.

Last season she and doubles partner, Angelina Zdorovytska, were selected to play in the NCAA National Playoffs in doubles competition. As a team, the two were ranked as high as No. 12 in the nation in the preseason.

The Lions continue play with a trip to San Diego State University to face the Aztecs at 12:00 noon at on Saturday, April 13.
