Lions Add Talented Transfer
LMU women's tennis has added transfer Andrea Crespo for next season.

Entering his 40th year as head women's tennis coach at LMU, Jamie Sanchez has announced that transfer Andrea Crespo will join the program beginning in the fall of 2014. Crespo, who prepped at Cidead in Valencia, Spain, recently finished her second year at Stetson University.
The 5'6 junior helped Stetson finish the 2014 season at 18-6 with a runner-up finish in the Atlantic Sun Championship. Playing primarily at the #2 position in both singles and doubles, Stetson managed a 10-10 record as an individual and a 6-7 mark in doubles play, including a 4-1 record with partner Isabella Fernandez.
As a freshman, she garnered All-Atlantic Sun Conference first team honors while playing at the #1 spot in singles and doubles. The All-Freshman performer, who also garnered A-Sun Academic honors after registering a 3.44 GPA, went 11-8 in singles and 6-10 in doubles in her inaugural campaign. Her 11-8 overall record also included a 6-1 mark in conference play.
Prior to coming to the United States to play for Stetson, Crespo won six championships and climbed as high as #99 in the rankings while competing in Spain in 2011.
