Nov. 8, 2012
LOS ANGELES -- The LMU women's tennis fall schedule will conclude this weekend at the second annual Jack Kramer Tennis Club Fall Invitational in Palos Verdes, Calif. Including teams from all across the country, the invitational will be the final big test for the Lions before starting their main spring season of dual matches in January.
Coming to the Jack Kramer Club this weekend will be Baylor, Penn State, Georgia, Utah, UCLA, USC, San Diego, Pepperdine, and Mississippi State, along with LMU. With a field just as strong in the inaugural event last year, Lions players reached the quarterfinals in both singles and doubles competition.
Leading the Lions is sophomore Tory Parravi who was just named the WCC women's singles player of the month for October. The 2012 second team all-WCC San Diego native went 7-1, including a tournament win in the singles top flight at the Cal State Fullerton Tournament.
LMU is coming off a strong showing in singles play at the Bulldog Classic in Fresno last weekend and will look to continue their success with a strong season finish at the Jack Kramer event.
