LOS ANGELES, Calif. -
SDSU Fall Classic II Brackets
For the fifth straight weekend since September, the LMU women's tennis program will once again reign in its solid tennis talent at the San Diego State Fall Tennis Classic II, but this time with a new combination of players. Play begins on Friday and continues through Sunday. Each day will start with doubles at 9 a.m. PT before moving into singles action.
Head Coach Jamie Sanchez has elected to give Miya Jin and Reka Rohonyi a week of rest this week, instead turning to senior Ashley Anderson and freshman Logan Finnell to join freshman Tory Parravi and senior Elisaveta Pironkova who both saw action in previous tournaments. Parravi will pair up with University of Washington transfer, Anderson, and Finnell, who was a 2011 three-star recruit from Carmel, Calif., will join Pironkova to complete LMU's second doubles team.
"These tournaments become a very important part of our preparation to win the WCC Championship, and our focus will be to stay healthy and win as many of our matches as we can," says Sanchez.
This will be the LMU women's tennis squad's last fall tournament. Admission is free, and fans are encouraged to park in PS 5, which is on the corner of 55th Street and Montezuma Road. A $1 per hour permit is required to park in PS 5.
