Tory Parravi Joins LMU Women's Tennis

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The LMU Women's tennis signs top southern California recruit, Tory Parravi for the fall of 2011. Out of Torrey Pines High School, under high school coach Anne Meigs, Parravi has proven she has the talent to take her tennis to the collegiate level.
TennisRecruiting.net rates Parravi as a 5-star recruit, ranking her no.54 overall nationally and no. 17 in the state of California. Additionally Parravi holds the #10 Southern California singles ranking and #18 in doubles play. Out of Torrey Pines High School in San Diego, Calif. Parravi helped lead her team to its 21th straight Division 1 CIF Championship crown this fall.
Named San Diego Athlete of the week after helping Torrey Pines win their 21st consecutive San Diego Section Division I team championships, Parravi swept her three singles matches, by identical 6-0 scores, leading Torrey Pines to a 14-4 victory for the team title. Parravi also boasts a solid junior tournament career, including a trip to the finals in the under-18 West Coast Junior Championships this August where she advanced through all seven rounds with over 125 competitors to the tournament finals.
Head Women's Tennis coach Jamie Sanchez says, "We are excited that Tory has decided to become a Lion. She had a great junior career to this point and once she gets to Loyola Marymount University, we expect her to makes strides in her game. We know she will be a top student-athlete in her Loyola Marymount career."
