Lions Ink Canadian Opposite

The LMU volleyball team has gone international to find its newest player, inking 6'0 opposite Sara Kovac of Niagara Falls, Ontario to a National Letter of Intent. Kovac will join the Lions in the fall of 2015.

Volleyball Adds Tennessee Transfer

LMU head volleyball coach Tom Black announced on Tuesday that Jamie Lea will be transferring from Tennessee and will be joining the LMU volleyball program beginning this spring. Lea, a native of Efland, N.C., recently completed her sophomore season for the Vols in 2014.

Keil, Tedrow Add Honorable Mention All-American Honors

Senior Litara Keil and junior Hannah Tedrow earned AVCA honorable mention All-American honors. This year marks the first year that LMU has received a pair of All-American selections. The last time LMU took home an All-American accolade was 2004 when Kelli Nerison earned her second consecutive honorable mention selection.

Three Lauded by AVCA, Sponcil Region Freshman of Year

Following its second NCAA Tournament appearance in three years, LMU women's volleyball was recognized by the AVCA on Tuesday as Litara Keil, Hannah Tedrow and Sarah Sponcil each earned individual honors. Keil and Tedrow earned Pacific South All-Region selections, while Sponcil was named Region Freshman of the Year.

Successful Season Ends in First Round of NCAA Tournament

The 2014 LMU volleyball season came to an end on Friday night at Stanford's Maples Pavilion in the first round of the NCAA Tournament as LMU (23-8) fell in four sets to Michigan State (19-13) by scores of 25-15, 25-19, 21-25, 25-21. The tournament run was the second in the last three years for LMU.

LMU Opens NCAA Tournament Friday

The LMU women's volleyball program traveled to Stanford, Calif. on Wednesday in advance of the 2014 NCAA Tournament. The Lions will open tournament play against Michigan State at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. With a victory, LMU would advance to play the winner of #1 Stanford and CSU Bakersfield on Saturday at 7 p.m.
