AT LMU 2007... played in 25 matches and 69 games on the season... collected a career-high eight block assists and nine total blocks on October 11 vs. San Francisco... the nine total blocks were a team-high... connected at a career-best .778 clip vs. Pepperdine on October 27... notched three or more blocks in eight of her 25 matches played... posted a season-high 12 kills against Oregon State on September 14 and a career-high 23 attacks against Michigan State on August 25... 2006... played in 13 matches for the Lions... had a season-high five kills in LMU's three-game sweep of Pepperdine... also had a season-high three blocks on the road at Gonzaga... 2005... played in 44 games for LMU as a freshman... had a career night at Gonzaga, tallying 16 kills, while hitting .464... put up seven blocks in her very next match against UC Santa Barbara...

HIGH SCHOOL a 2005 graduate of Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, Calif... a four-year starter for the three-time state champion... earned four first-team All-League selections... a 2003 Junior Olympics silver medalist... was named to the Mercury News All-Central Coast team in 2003 and 2004... Prep Volleyball named her one of the nation's "Top 50 Juniors" in 2003... selected as the MVP of the 2004 state title run... played club volleyball for Vision and coach Jay Mansfield... was a high school teammate of current LMU teammate Whitney Leonard...

PERSONAL Erin Elizabeth Downey was born March 3, 1987, in San Jose, Calif... daughter of Joan and James Downey... has two brothers, Patrick and Sean, and a sister, Megan... also recruited by Santa Clara, Pepperdine, UCLA, Florida State, and Texas, but chose LMU because of its religious affiliation, the location and the volleyball team... a communication studies major.
