BRIEFLY Ashley Dutro is in her senior season with LMU volleyball after transfering from UC Santa Barbara as a junior... a very athletic and experienced setter who knows how to run a team... coaches note that she had a good spring and worked on a lot of things that allowed her to improve as a setter... will be the person to beat for the job as the Lions' starting setter...

AT LMU 2006... played in all 31 matches for the Lions, starting in 24 of them... averaged 10.32 assists per game on the season... one of just five setters in the West Coast Conference to average more than 10.00 assists per game in league action... named to the LMU Four Points Sheraton LAX Classic All-Tournament team after recording 115 assists in three matches... tallied 66 assists and 17 digs (both season-highs) on the road at Gonzaga... posted a season-high six kills and 42 assists in three-game sweep of Florida A&M... had eight double-doubles on the season...

AT UCSB 2005... ranked fourth in the Big West Conference with 12.00 assists per game... 2004... one of two Gauchos to earn a spot on the Big West All-Freshman team... breakthrough performance came at the Golden Bear Invitational, where she averaged 12.50 assists and 3.17 digs per game en route to tournament MVP acclaim as UCSB swept both Texas A&M and Cal... 37 helpers coupled with 11 digs in upset of Golden Bears was the first of her five double-doubles on the season... registered five kills on six swings the previous night without an error (.833) against the Aggies... tallied 56 assists and 11 scoops as the Gauchos avenged an earlier loss to Idaho... dished off 49 assists in Oct. 16 win over Long Beach State that was nationally televised on CSTV... that came on the heels of a 39-assist, 11-dig effort the previous night in a sweep of UC Irvine...

HIGH SCHOOL a 2004 graduate of St. Francis High School in Mountain View, Calif... was the starting setter for three straight CIF State Championship teams there... Lancers won the Division III state title in 2003, Division I crown the previous year, and Division II championship in 2001... won the CIF Sportsmanship Award as a senior and was selected to the state all-tournament team her junior and senior seasons... coached by Kim Oden... selected as the first team all-state setter by PrepVoleyball.com in both 2002 and 2003... same publication ranked her No. 87 nationally on its list of "Senior Aces"... played her freshman season at Punahou School in her native Hawaii, also winning a state title there in 2000... member of USA Volleyball's Youth A-2 Team in 2002... competed with four different club volleyball programs... in track and field, was selected as the Outstanding Track Performer at the 2002 Central Coast Section Championships... a member of the honor roll at St. Francis...
