Kathleen Luft played two years with LMU volleyball after transferring into the program following three years at Georgia... first team All-WCC selection as a junior in 2012 and as a senior in 2013... posted 861 kills at a rate of 4.06 per set over her two years at LMU - good for third in the LMU record book at the end of her career...

2013... first team All-WCC selection... led the team with 387 kills at a rate of 3.95 per set - good for second in the WCC... WCC Player of the Week on September 23 after guiding LMU to a 2-0 week that included victories over San Francisco and Santa Clara... collected 35 kills over the two matches (4.38 per set) while hitting .380... posted a double-double against Texas A&M on September 5 (11 kills/13 digs)... season-high 24 kills at Gonzaga on September 26... double-digit kills in all but two matches on the year... collected two block solos and 44 block assists (0.47 blocks per set)... served-up 15 aces over the year, including three in a match twice... DoubleTree Los Angeles Westside All-Tournament selection... Preseason All-WCC honoree...

2012... first team All-WCC selection after leading LMU to the 2012 NCAA Tournament... finished the year with a team and conference-best 474 kills at a rate of 4.16 per set while appearing in every match and set for the Lions... finished 43rd in the nation in terms of kills per set... hit .261 on 1,206 attacks... served-up 13 aces while collecting 210 digs (1.84 per set)... managed three block solos and 48 block assists to the tune of 51 total blocks at a rate of .45 per set... posted a team-best seven double-doubles... WCC Player of the Week (November 12) after guiding LMU to a 2-0 record, including a victory over then-No. 24 Pepperdine... 24 kills with six blocks against the Waves on November 8... hit .367 against the Waves... took home Co-WCC Player of the Month honors for the month of September... garnered All-Tournament selections at all four regular season tournaments... career-best 25 kills on career-high 65 swings at San Francisco on November 17... recorded 22 kills against Virginia Tech on September 7... served-up three aces against George Mason on September 8... hit .474 with a double-double (19 kills/11 digs) against Xavier on September 15... posted 23 kills against #16 San Diego on September 27... double-double of 23 kills and 11 digs at #23 Pepperdine on October 25... hit .571 with 13 kills against Portland on November 1...

2011... appeared in 26 matches with 24 starts for Georgia... recorded 285 kills, 24 aces, 108 digs and 44 blocks... led or tied for the team lead in kills 15 times, including posting three double-doubles over the course of the year... in five-set win at Arkansas, posted career-highs with 22 kills, 55 attacks and six blocks... posted 10 kills on a career-best .643 clip vs. #13 Florida... had a double-double vs. Ole Miss with 11 kills and 10 digs while also tying a career-high with five blocks... named to Director's Honor Roll for her hard work in the classroom...

2010... appeared in 30 matches with 20 starts... recorded 271 kills (2.44 per set), 23 assists, 20 aces, 173 digs (1.56 per set) and 48 blocks... managed five double-doubles... led or tied for the team lead in kills eight times, attempts 12 times, aces 11 times and digs five times... posted 12 matches with double-digit kills including a season-best 19 vs. Miss. St...

2009... utilized a redshirt season as a true freshman... earned a spot on the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll...

A 2009 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School in Thousand Oaks, Calif... a four-year varsity letterwinner playing for James Park... named 2008 Most Valuable Athlete and a Star News first team selection... also garnered a first team selection from the Marmonte League... started at outside hitter for the Santa Monica Beach Club volleyball team, which competed in the Southern California Volleyball Association and traveled nationally to compete in the USAV Open Division... also competed in basketball and track as well...

Kathleen Elizabeth Luft was born October 5, 1990, in San Dimas, Calif... daughter of Donna and Brian Luft... father is Assistant Athletic Director of Development at LMU... father also played football at USC and was drafted in the fifth round of the 1985 NFL draft by the New York Jets... mother ran track at USC... has two brothers, Matt and Scott... Matt played football at Harvard, while Scott attended LMU... elected to transfer to LMU because she wanted to be closer to home, loved the coaching staff, and wanted to play sand volleyball... a communication studies major.
