Litara Keil is in her fourth season with LMU volleyball... honorable mention All-WCC selection as a sophomore and junior... All-WCC Freshman team selection in 2011... enters the 2014 season ranked third in LMU history in block assists (264), eighth in blocks per set (0.93), ninth in total blocks (300), and 142 kills short of entering the top-10 (958)...

2014... one of 36 players selected to participate in the U.S. Collegiate National Team program following her junior year (also after sophomore year)...

2013... earned honorable mention All-WCC honors for the second straight year... appeared in 27 of LMU's 28 matches and 101 of a possible 103 sets on the year... notched 354 kills at a rate of 3.50 per set while hitting .278... kills mark was second-best on the squad, while her kills per set mark was eighth-best in the WCC... served-up 16 aces while collecting four block solos and 73 block assists for a total of 77 blocks (0.76 blocks per set)... blocking numbers were all tops on the team... named WCC Player of the Week on October 28 after guiding LMU to victories over Portland and Gonzaga... hit .492 with 39 kills on 61 swings with only nine errors while averaging 5.57 kills per set during the two matches... posted season-high 22 kills while hitting a season-best .545 against Portland on October 24... registered nine block assists against Santa Clara on September 21... reached double-digit kills in all but six matches on the year... UTSA Classic All-Tournament selection...

2012... took home honorable mention All-WCC honors after notching 356 kills (ninth in WCC) at a rate of 3.12 per set over 31 matches played to place second on the team... hit a team-best .309 on 761 attacks, with the hitting percentage ranking 10th in the WCC... served-up 34 aces at a rate of .30 per set to finish second on the team and ninth in the WCC... led the Lions with 12 block solos and 106 block assists, totaling 118 blocks at a rate of 1.04 per set to finish sixth in the conference... the 106 block assists ranked fifth in LMU history for a single season, while the 118 total blocks ranked ninth... collected three double-doubles on the year... posted 11 kills in each of the first three matches of the year... took home LMU/UCI Dual Tournament All-Tourney honors... posted career-best tying three block solos against UC Irvine on August 31... managed first career double-double on September 15 at Notre Dame (13 kills/10 blocks)... posted nine block assists against the Irish while also hitting .667... had a career week to start WCC play, hitting .750 with 12 kills at Saint Mary's on September 20 before collecting a career-best 24 kills on 42 swings for a .500 hitting percentage against San Francisco on September 22... overall, posted 36 kills at a rate of 4.50 per set and hit .569 (36-3/58) over those two matches... served up four aces against CSU Bakersfield on September 29 before posting four more at #23 Pepperdine on October 25, teaming that mark with 13 kills and seven block assists... hit .478 with 13 kills on 23 attacks at Gonzaga on October 18... also managed five block assists against the Bulldogs... posted 13 kills and hit .524 against Portland on November 1...

2011...made an immediate impact on the team as a freshman, starting all 30 matches in her inaugural year en route to being named to the All-WCC Freshman squad... led all players on the block, posting 20 block solos and 85 block assists at a rate of 0.97 blocks per set... season-best three block solos came in her first match of her career against Cal State Fullerton on August 26... had nine block assists at BYU on November 3, placing tied for 10th in LMU's record book for a single match... on the attack, posted 248 kills at a rate of 2.30 kills per set... season-best 14 kills came on November 5 against Santa Clara when she hit .481 with only one error on 27 attacks... hit an impressive .667 with 13 kills and just one error on 18 swings versus Cal State Bakersfield on September 5... served up five aces against Seattle on September 4... named COBRA Magazine All-Southwest Region...

A 2011 graduate of Long Beach Poly in Long Beach, Calif... a three-year varsity letterwinner for coach Leland McGrath... served as a team captain as a senior... named All-City in each of her final three seasons... garnered All-Conference recognition in her final year and All-League recognition in all three years of varsity play... an All-CIF selection as a senior... helped Long Beach Poly to a No. 1 ranking in the state of California during the 2010 season, while also ranking as high as No. 11 nationally according to Maxpreps.com... guided her team to a runner-up finish at the CIF Division I Championship in 2010... earned All-CIF Southern Section honors in each of her last three seasons of play... tabbed All-Tournament at the prestigious Durango Tournament as a senior...

Litara Susitina Keil was born April 10, 1993... daughter of Nia and Ricky Keil... has three sisters, Mary, Matanofo and Sophie, and two brothers, Ricky and Frank... chose LMU because it has the course of study she is interested in, it is near her hometown, and it has a beautiful campus... an urban studies major.
