HIGH SCHOOL a 2008 graduate of Westlake High School in Austin, Texas... was a 2007-08 AVCA Senior All-American... a three-year varsity letter winner for coach Al Bennett... named team captain and MVP in her senior year, guided her team to the championship match at the Duncanville Tournament of Champions, garnering All-Tournament at that tournament and at the 2007 Pearland Volleyball Classic... selected to the USA Volleyball/Lone Star High Performance team... part of the USA Volleyball European Global Challenge team during the summer of 2007... set high school records for most digs in a match and per game... served as team captain for the Austin Juniors Club Team... named a semi-finalist for the 2006 Texas Christian Athlete of the Year... earned an Academic Achievement Award, an AP Scholar Award and garnered Academic All-District honors in her sophomore, junior and senior years... competed against current teammates, Becky Stehling and Emily Cheek, in high school...

PERSONAL Christina Marie Scholtz was born January 26, 1990, in Austin, Texas... daughter of Janel and Bruce Scholtz... father played football at the University of Texas... has one brother, Jarett... also recruited by the University of Virginia, Louisiana State University, Northwestern University and the University of Kansas, but chose LMU because of the athletic and academic support system, the players and coaching staff, and the location... a psychology major.
