LMU Volleyball Clips Eagles in Terrapin Invitational Opener
Kristen Gallup and Kealani Kimball combine for 24 kills in the victory.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Kristen Gallup had 13 kills and Kealani Kimball added 11 on Friday night to lead Loyola Marymount to a three-game victory over Boston College in the opening match of the Terrapin Invitational at Ritchie Coliseum.
LMU (6-1) never trailed in the match, winning by scores of 30-14, 30-22, 30-22. The Lions dominated play at the net, recording nine blocks during the match and hitting at a .350 percentage. Junior Tiana Newsome had seven blocks to raise her team-leading season total to 30.
Boston College (4-3) was led by Dara Balindo's nine kills.
Boston College will meet host Maryland at 11 a.m., in Saturday's second round of the two-day, round-robin tournament. The Lions will battle Indiana at 1 p.m. The Eagles will play Indiana at 5 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the Lions and Terrapins at 7 p.m. All times are eastern standard time.
