LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Two players from each of the participating schools at the LMU/UCI Dual Tournament have been named to the All-Tournament team. LMU's Litara Keil and Kathleen Luft were chosen from the Lions, joining Macey Gardner and Stephanie Preach (Arizona State), Aly Squires and Kristin Winkler (UC Irvine), and Lindsay Young and Michelle McCarthy (Colgate). The tournament was played last weekend in Gersten Pavilion, as Arizona State finished a perfect 3-0 in tournament matches to take the championship.

Luft collected 48 kills (4.36 per set) over the three matches, helping LMU to a 2-1 record. She hit .209 during the weekend, serving-up three aces and recording 26 digs and three block assists. The native of Thousand Oaks, Calif. began the weekend with 20 kills in a four-set victory over Colgate, hitting .441 over the course of the match. After posting 10 kills in a sweep of UC Irvine on Friday night, she concluded the weekend with a team-best 18 kills against Arizona State. Her week culminated in her first double-double as a Lion (18 kills/14 digs) after she narrowly missed a double-double against Colgate (20 kills/nine digs).

Keil, a native of Long Beach, Calif., collected 28 kills while hitting .232 over the three matches. Steady on the block, Keil notched four block solos and 11 block assists on the week, including three solos and two assists in a sweep of UC Irvine on Friday night. The sophomore narrowly missed a double-double against Arizona State, teaming nine kills with a career-best 11 digs.

LMU will return to action on September 7 when it hits the road for the first time this season, traveling to High Point, N.C. to participate in the High Point University Invitational. The Lions will play Virginia Tech, High Point and George Mason over the weekend.
