LMU volleyball redshirt-sophomore Amber Mirabello was named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic honorable mention team, it was announced by the Conference office earlier this week.

Mirabello, a native of Palm Harbor, Fla., owns a 3.37 cumulative GPA as a studio arts major. On the court, Mirabello has appeared in 23 of LMU's 26 matches, starting 17. She has accumulated 141 kills while hitting for a team-best .313 clip. A force on the block, she leads the squad in blocks per set (0.83) and is second on the team with 63 total blocks, including three block solos and 60 block assists.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
