Induction is family affair
Hall of Fame ceremonies provide a special feeling for Gustorf Family.

For Jon Gustorf and the other inductees of the Stockton Athletic Hall of Fame, Wednesday was family night. Gustorf, his wife, Pat, and their four children, including Kevin, Allison and Laura, all of whom competed at LMU, were inducted as a family.

A Family of Athletes and Coaches
Jon Gustorf was a very successful head coach of basketball at Lincoln High in Stockton (1976-1979) and at St. Mary's High School in Stockton (1979-2001). At St. Mary's, Jon coached his basketball teams to eight SJAA conference titles. He coached in six Section Championship games, winning three titles. He served as Athletic Director for 16 years (1979-1995), before retiring from coaching. He still teaches at St. Mary's.
Jon's wife, Pat attended St. Mary's High School in Stockton and was involved in the Girls Athletic Association. She coached tennis at St. Mary's and is currently a teacher there.
Kevin played soccer, basketball and baseball for four years at St. Mary's; was first-team all-league selection as a senior in baseball. At Loyola Marymount University, he played four years of baseball and was the team captain as a senior.
Allison was a three-year letter-winner on three championship volleyball teams at St. Mary's, while earning all-area and all-league honors twice. She was also on the team that was league, section and Norcal Champions for three seasons. At Loyola Marymount University, she was a two-time captain of the Lion volleyball team, while earning All-West Coast Conference All-Academic honors.
Laura played three years of volleyball and basketball at St. Mary's High School, where she captained both teams her senior year. She also earned all-league honors in each sport in her final two seasons. At Loyola Marymount, she is playing her final season of volleyball, while earning All-West Coast Conference All-Academic honors three times.
Elizabeth was the only Gustorf child that did not attend LMU. She played basketball and ran cross country at St. Mary's, before being named Female Athlete of the Year at Gonzaga University in 1997.
