Briefly... Devon Wright played her first season at LMU after transferring from Orange Coast Community College... 2004 will be her final season of collegiate water polo...

At LMU... 2003... had a solid NCAA tournament, scoring two goals in consolation win over Indiana... was second-team All-Tournament... played in 32 games on the season... was named first-team All-WWPA... was second on the team with 44 goals, which ranks ninth all-time at LMU... finished shooting 42 percent and was second with 30 kick-outs drawn... 105 shot attempts was second for the Lions...

At Orange Coast CC... played both two-meter defense and offense for Orange Coast College...was team Co-MVP in both 2000 and 2001 seasons... earned all-conference honors from the Orange Empire Conference in both seasons... was also a two-time first-team All-America selection... played for coach Mike Giles...

High School... Graduated from Katella High School in Anaheim, CA, in 2000 with a 3.87 GPA... won seven letters at Katella, four in water polo and three in swimming... was named the Empire League MVP in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons on the water polo team... played for coach Javier Gonzalez (97-98) and Wilart Dee (99-00)... was named All-Empire League all four years... earned first-team All-CIF Division IV honors in final three seasons...

Personal... Devon Angela Wright was born on Aug. 16, 1982 in Anaheim, CA... she is the daughter of Vicki and Clyde Wright... has two brothers, Jaret and Derek, and two sisters, Nikki and Stacy... father played baseball at Carson Newman College and went on to play for the Anaheim Angels... her brother Jaret plays for the Atlanta Braves...a Liberal Studies major.
