Briefly... Stacia Peterson was granted a medical redshirt after playing just seven games in 2006 due to an injured back... earned degree in History in May of 2006 and is currently working towards a Masters of Education in special education... was a second-team All-American in 2005... moved to second all-time in LMU history with 161 career goals... ranked seventh with 284 shot attempts and her six five-goal games is the most in school history...

At LMU... 2006... in seven games she managed to score seven goals on 17 shots (41.2 percent)... added 13 kickouts, five steals and two assists... scored three goals against Long Beach State (2/12/06)...

2005... scored a tournament record five goals in the win over Wagner while setting all-time tournament record with 10 goals and her 15 career goals in the NCAA tournament is a career record... was named second-team All-Tournament... was named first-team All-WWPA thanks to leading the Lions for the second straight season, scoring 75 goals, which set the all-time single-season record at LMU... finished the season with 59.1 percent shooting average... scored four goals against Hawaii (5-13-05)... had 19 multi-goal games on the year, including the sixth five-goal game against Wagner (5-14-05)... added four against Chapman (3-5-05), UC San Diego (3-5-05), Michigan State (3-19-05), Cal State Monterey Bay (4-10-05) and Chapman (4-29-05) again in the WWPA tournament... added 45 steals to lead the team...

2004... led the Lions with 57 goals heading into the NCAA Tournament to earn second-team All-WWPA honors... was named third-team All-America by the AWPCA... finished the season with an impressive 57.0 shooting percentage... became just the seventh player in LMU history to score more than 50 goals in a season and just the second to score more than 60... ranks second all-time with her 62... had five goals in the NCAA Championships, including three in the title game against USC (5/9/04)... scored the game winner against Stanford with no time on the clock in the semifinal win (5/8/04)... was named first-team All-Tournament... had three five-goal games, the most in a single season for the program... scored a goal in every game of the season except for one... started every game on the season... had four goals in WWPA Tournament... drew a team-high 43 kickouts... was a AWPCA All-Academic selection...

2003... playing time increased at the end of the season... played in both games at NCAA Championship... finished with 17 goals on 31 shots... had a five-goal game in WWPA Tournament... played in 28 games...

High School... Graduated in May of 2002 from Mundelein High School in Mundelein, IL... earned eight varsity letters in high school, four in swimming and four in water polo... led team to back-to-back state water polo championships in 2001 and 2002... won the sectional championship all four years... was a two-time first-team All-American, while earning all-state and all-conference honors her final three years... was the Illinois Female Athlete of the Year in 2001... was a state qualifier in four events in 2001 as a swimmer...

Personal... Stacia Ellyn Peterson was born in Park Ridge, IL, on June 13, 1984... she is the daughter of Patricia and Scott Peterson... has one brother, Andrew, who plays water polo for Redlands... mother swam briefly for Illinois.
