Water Polo Gets a Pair
Women's water polo scores 29 in two-game sweep on Saturday

LOS ANGELES -The eighth-ranked LMU women's water polo team earned a sweep on the final day of the 2014 ZUMO LMU Invitational, scoring 29 goals in the pair of victories at the Burns Aquatics Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions opened with a 15-3 win over Pomona-Pitzer then ended the tournament with a 14-6 victory over Brown in the final game of the tournament.
Ten different Lions scored against the Sagehens with Bridgette Alvarez and Danielle Johnson scoring three each. In the finale, Alexandra Honny netted six goals as the Lions pulled away in the final quarters.
The Lions continue their home stand when they host a pair of Golden Coast Conference games, taking on Pacific on Friday, March 28 at 4 pm, followed by Santa Clara at 12 noon on Saturday, March 29. Both games can be watched live on the LMU Sports Network.
